Following a generous gift made by the Kufuor Biographical Project to celebrate the leadership of President Kufuor in Ghana and to mark Ghana’s 50th Independence Anniversary, Exeter College is offering the Kufuor Scholarships (linked to a Clarendon Award) for a top Ghanaian student who wishes to undertake a graduate degree at Exeter College, University of Oxford.

Queen Mary, University of London is one of the UK's leading research-focused higher education institutions. The School of Mathematical Sciences has a very strong research record and high educational standards for its undergraduate and postgraduate students. The academic staff, undergraduate students together with the support staff, postdoctoral assistants and postgraduate students make up a vibrant environment.
Applications are invited for the above key post in the School of Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will hold a key role in administrative leadership and management to support the School of Mathematical Sciences as it works towards achieving its strategic aims. They will contribute to strategic and operational planning, will provide high level support to the Head of School as well as managing support staff and administrative processes.
Candidates should have a degree, or equivalent, and significant experience of working in a similar or related role within the higher education sector. The sucessful candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in the management of people, resources and projects, knowledge of HR legislation and regulations, a high level of initiative, the ability to research and analyse information, and excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
This is a full time fixed term post available for 10 months as a result of maternity leave, and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month. It is expected that the successful candidate will take up the post on 1 May or as soon as possible thereafter.
Starting salary will be in the range of £42,029 - £43,203 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro rata), childcare vouchers scheme, final salary pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
